In a narrow side street of Ermou, in the district of Psiri, you will find “Let’s meet in Athens”.
A bicycle shop full of Dutch style bikes, all the same.
The employees of “Let’s meet in Athens” are Greeks and Dutch with a huge passion for cycling and the city of Athens.

How it all started

In 2014, Dutch Monique van Hulst started as a start-up at Orange Grove of the Dutch embassy. She started her bike tour travel agency with 15 bicycles in the basement of a hotel in the center of Athens. What started small, grew in a few years into a successful company. The Dutch Cortina bikes certainly stood out in the Athenian street scene and that often caused nice reactions.

Free bike Sunday

Since early May 2020, “Let´s meet in Athens” has been hosting free bike Sundays.
From 17:00 until 20:00 the Cortina bicycles are given away for a 3 hour ride. You can use the bicycle and discover your own city in a completely different way. It is fantastic to see how enthusiastic everyone is about the whole concept.
The initiative is also very suitable for families. Child bikes and child seats are available.

Because the initiative is so successful, it continues all summer. Reservations in advance are necessary and can be done by sending an email to info@meetinathens.eu.

Do you have no idea where you can cycle safely in Athens? The team of “Let’s meet in Athens” is happy to advise you!
There is also a free organized ride that you can join, starting at 17:00 from ‘let’s meet in Athens office’ at Arionos 14.

Why are they doing this?

Locals don’t cycle a lot and the Athenian streets are still full of traffic. Let’s meet in Athens
introduces a new way of exploring your own city.
Joining this event you will understand that there are already plenty of safe routes to cycle.
We also believe that more people get on a bike, the more we can change Athens in a bike friendly city. Let’s do this together!
